The mobile phone company HTC has burst out onto the scene with a few extraordinary smartphones, most noticeably the Android-powered HTC Wildfire, nicknamed a ’smaller version of the HTC Desire’. The HTC Wildfire is one of the few phones today to offer an optical joystick, allow mobile phone users the freedom and ease of scrolling through pages and app lists with extreme comfort and mobility. Another exciting feature of this new smartphone from HTC is Friend Stream, an application which takes your contact list and scours Facebook and Twitter for any recent updates, linking them with the appropriate contact (another must have for the avid social networker).

For those individuals who are looking for a career with long-term earning potential, lots of opportunity for advancement and a wide range of settings in which to work, those are just a few of the many advantages of earning a degree in nursing. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the health care industry will grow by 21% by 2016, opening hundreds of thousands of jobs.
The majority of those jobs will be in the home health care field, which will grow by 51%. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, the demand for registered nurses alone will increase by 35%, adding another 700,000 jobs to the marketplace. That means that there will be more opportunities than ever to find a job in nursing. In these economic times, ease of finding a job is a major plus to earning a degree in Nursing.
Requirements for getting a job in the nursing field, however, are getting more stringent. It is no longer enough to have a diploma from a nursing school, not if you want a job that pays well and the ability to decide where and how you want to work. In fact, the highest paying jobs in nursing and health care will be going to those who have advanced degrees.
Higher certification standards mean that those who do not have at least a nursing certification will not be able to work in the field at all. If your intent is to get a nursing job that pays well, a certificate or license is no longer enough. You really need a degree to expect a promotion to management or even floor management in nursing.
Nurses with advanced degrees will find unexpected doors opening to them. More and more hospitals are requiring at least a B.S. in Nursing for their charge nurses and head nurses. A B.S. in nursing will also put you in the running for other management jobs, as well as for specialized jobs within the field of nursing. Those specialized fields may include Trauma Center nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing or nutritional counseling.
Other nursing degrees will give you more autonomy as a nurse than most Registered Nurses can expect. A nursing degree may open the door for you to become a nurse practitioner, with the ability to diagnose and prescribe for patients, or a nurse midwife. A nurse with a degree concentration in business and management may manage a nursing home, a hospice or a nutritional clinic. A nursing degree with a concentration in research can open the door to working in medical research. In short, as in any other career path, further education opens more doors to advance your nursing career both personally and professionally.
Advantages of Earning a Degree in Nursing
1. You’ll always be able to find a job.
There’s more to this than the aging of the Boom Generation, too. Medical science is opening new doors in the health care industry from home health care to community nursing. There will always be jobs for qualified nurses, and those who have nursing degrees will always get hiring preference.
2. You’ll be able to find a job anywhere you want to live.
From the inner city to luxury suburbs, every community needs nurses. Whatever your ideal setting is, chances are good that the community will welcome you with a job and open arms. You can even choose to travel while you work – there are nursing jobs in the hospitality industry, including nursing jobs on cruise ships and in resort towns. Want to spend the winter in Fort Lauderdale and the summers on the shores of the Great Lakes? That’s doable, too. There are agencies that specialize in temp jobs for nurses in high demand cities. When you have a nursing degree, you can choose where you want to live and know that there will be a job.
3. Nurses with degrees can command higher salaries.
Nurses with an advanced degree can earn, on average, 25% to 50% more than non-degreed nurses, even in the same position. In addition, a nursing degree is a requirement for some of the highest paying jobs in nursing. Those jobs include head nurse and management jobs, jobs in hospital, nursing home and clinic management, industrial nursing jobs and nursing jobs in city, state and federal Public Health departments.
4. A nursing degree gives you more career choices.
Specialization is becoming the norm in all fields these days, but especially so in medicine. Advanced nursing degrees often offer you the opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge in a particular nursing field. That specialized depth of knowledge will allow you to work in higher paying jobs that have more of an effect on the world of medicine and on the patients with whom you work.

Is your teen one in three who will become a victim of dating violence?
Here are Ten Tips for Parents to talk with their teen about – you can empower your teen and here are some of the tools to help you.
Before I give you the first ten tips, there are some things you and your teen need to remember:
* You have the right to a healthy relationship.
* You deserve better. Do not put up with abuse.
* You are not alone. Teens from all backgrounds are in, have been in, or know someone in an abusive relationship.
* you have done nothing wrong. It is not your fault that your partner abuses you.
* The longer you stay in an abusive relationship, the more intense the violence will become. It does not get better over time.
* Being drunk or high is not an excuse for abuse.
* No one is justified in attacking you just because he or she is angry.
TIPS ON DATING VIOLENCE:
1. Abuse in a dating relationship can be confusing and frightening at any age. But for teenagers, who are just beginning to date and develop romantic relationships, this abuse is especially difficult.
2. Surveys show dating violence is not uncommon among teens. When the abuse is physical or sexual, it can be easy to identify. Emotional abuse is much harder to recognize, but no less damaging.
3. Dating violence can be tough to talk about honestly. It can be uncomfortable to bring up and embarrassing to acknowledge. But with dating violence a fact of life for many teen couples, we’ve got to break the silence.
4. Sometimes it’s easier to explore thoughts and feelings using this kind of example than it is to talk about our own experiences.
A Typical Dating Violence Sceniro
Brenda is 15 and has never had a boyfriend before. She recently started dating Frank. She thinks he is so cute. Her friends all tell her how lucky she is because she has a boyfriend. At first, Brenda thought it was sweet that Frank began calling her all the time. He always wants to know whom she is with, where she is, and when she’ll be home. He has told her that she was meant to be with him and him only, forever.
Recently, Frank has started belittling her in front of his friends, insulting her, and telling her she is fat. He doesn’t want her to spend time with certain of her friends – he thinks they are a bad influence. He threatens to break up with her if she won’t do what he says, and that no one else will ever want her. Brenda wants to make Frank happy. In fact, she’ll do anything to keep her boyfriend. She things this is what being in a relationship is all about.
5. Relationship violence often starts as emotional or verbal abuse and can quickly escalate into physical or sexual violence. And although many teens know of at least one student who has been a victim of relationship violvence, most parents either don’t know it exists or don’t know it is an issue.
6. Relationship Violence is a pattern of behavior used by someone to maintain control over his or her partner.
7. Relationship violence can take the form of verbal, physcial, emotional, or even sexual abuse.
8. Relationship Violence is not about getting angry or having a disagreement.
9. In an abusive relationship one partner is afraid of and intimidated by the other.
10. How often does it happen?
24% of severe injuries and deaths occuse when the victim is tryng to leave or has already left the relationship.
Relationhsip violence is the number one cause of injury to women between the ages of 15-44.
63% of date rape victims are young women between the ages of 14 and 17.
70% of pregnant teenagers are abused by their partners.

Is Worrying About God’s Will Hurting Your Prayers?

Have you ever wondered why your prayers go unanswered? If you’re like a lot of people, you’ve probably spent a lot of time doing some soul searching trying to figure out what’s wrong. We keep making our requests to God, but our prayers seem to fall on deaf ears.
There could be a number of things causing problems, but the main problem that plagues most of us may surprise you. The simple fact is: We don’t know what God wants. We spend all of our time frustrated because we don’t know God’s will.
Struggling to determine God’s will was the single greatest problem that came up in an informal survey that I did. At a Bible study I was teaching I asked a simple question: What is the biggest difficulty you have with faith? In one form or another the answer that kept coming up was: “I don’t know what God wants.” This feeling that we might might be wrong stops our faith dead in its tracks.
The solution to this problem will most likely shock you, because God wants what you want. It’s that simple.
I may have lost some of you, but listen carefully because this could be the most important thing you’ll ever learn about prayer and faith. God’s will is to give us what we want, and I can prove it.
In John 14:13-14(NIV), Jesus says, “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
This verse causes some real problems for me. It seems like Jesus is literally giving us a blank check, but I know from my own experiences that it can’t be that way. And you probably agree with me when I say, “Yeah, I know that’s what it says, but that’s not really how it works…or is it?”
Experience is a great teacher, but does it always teach us the truth?
There is one inescapable truth that we all have to deal with. We have to decide what we believe to be true. We have to make up our minds that we will either believe what Jesus says or we will believe what we (and most of the people around us) believe to be true. Will we believe what God says, or will we believe what we experience?
The ultimate test of faith is that we accept what God says independent of what we’ve always believed, what the circumstances are, and what experience has taught us.
When David faced Goliath he could have listened to what every one else was saying. King Saul emphatically told David that he would not be able to defeat Goliath. David’s brother told him that he was just being proud and that he should go back to herding sheep and leave the fighting to the soldiers (my paraphrase 
.
If David had listened to them, he would never have fought Goliath and he probably never would have become king.
The simple answer to the question about God’s will is: God’s will is to glorify His Son and Himself by doing what we ask. It’s that simple. So what is it that you want most in life? Do you know what you want to ask God to do for you?

Since October 2005, the United States Bankruptcy Code was changed to include a limitation on how much money a person could make in order for them to qualify to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The amount you can make is set forth as a yearly amount. But….you will have to divide that by 12 since it is the monthly amount that matters. Government screw up again, don’t you know.

Here are some interesting facts to know for your next party:
1. The Evil Empire (mistakenly called the Internal Revenue Service) actually sets the income amounts. Not the bankruptcy court or the United States Congress.
2. The income limit is actually never correct. Why? Because you can make more than the table says by including your necessary and allowed expenses. Just how much you can make varies from state to state.
3. You have to show by documentation from a third party just how much money you make every month. Such documents include pay stubs, monthly bank statements, unemployment compensation pay stubs, so forth.
4. The gross amount of income received has to be used and considered. Not just the net income.
5. Income received for bankruptcy purposes includes wages, credit card advances, loans, gifts, income from the sale of goods or services, inheritance money. Practically any new money that flows into your hands in a given month.
6. There really are a number of people nation wide who are turned away by lawyers because the potential clients/debtors make too much money for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

How to Get Your Web Site Ranked High in Search Engines with Free Link Exchanges

Free link exchanges got my web site to the first page of Google and free link exchanges can do the same for your web site.
A couple of weeks ago one of my web sites, http://www.BarrysBeanies, was ranked number 33 on Google for one of my most important keyword phrases “Beanie Babies.”
I was determined to get my web site on the first page on Google searches for the keyword phrase “Beanie Babies.”
There are basically two options to get a high rank on Google for your web site keyword phrases.
Option #1
Do free link exchanges with other web sites that have the same theme as your web site. You can target any keyword phrase you want to improve your rank with. It is very important that you make the title text link you exchange with other web sites the exact keyword phrase you want to target.
What I also like about the free link exchanges is that you can target one web page for many different keyword phrases. So once you get the rank you want for one keyword phrase then you choose another keyword phrase to target and use this new keyword phrase in the title text link that you now exchange with other web sites.
It is also important to try and do all your free link exchanges with web sites that have a high Google Page Rank (PR). Go for link exchanges with sites with a PR3 or higher. Web sites with a higher Page Rank are viewed by Google as being more important and links to your web site from these high PR sites will help you more than doing link exchanges with a site with a PR1 or PR2.
You can download the free Google Toolbar at http://toolbar.google.com/, which will display all the Page Ranks of the web pages you visit.
Also, if you go into the Google directory, http://directory.google.com/, and locate the category of the sites you want to do your free link exchanges with, the web sites will be listed with the highest Page Ranks at the top. Most of the sites near the top of the list will be PR5 or PR6. These are the web sites that you will want to start doing your free link exchanges with.

Optimize your web pages for keyword phrases. You’ll want to target one keyword phrase per web page. If you have great content and have targeted a keyword phrase then eventually Google will index your web page and rank it higher.
You should really use both these options, but of the two I like the free link exchanges best because I can quickly see the progress I’m making.
Do free link exchanges work?
Well, as I stated above, my web site www.BarrysBeanies.com was ranked number 33 for my most important keyword phrase, “Beanie Babies.”
I then started doing free link exchanges. Prior to that time I only had about 10 link exchanges on my web site with other web sites. Now I have about 100 links and my rank on Google for “Beanie Babies” is number 5.
So free link exchanges do work!
Search engine ranking is one of the most important parts to your overall Internet success if you have a web site. In fact, it may be the most important thing you can learn how to do in order to have a successful Internet business.
